In the Court of Public Opinion

I, Carter J. Lelash, declare as follows:

1. 1.  I am a student at the University of California, San Diego, pursuing a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Business Economics, with minors in Law and Society and Accounting. I expect to graduate in June 2028.
2. 2.  My coursework and writing center on business law, administrative law, antitrust, and domestic economic policy, and on the legal and economic history behind them. I am currently writing an honors thesis titled Pittsburgh in the merger era, 1890–1910.
3. 3.  I write for Prospect Journal (since September 2026) and The UCSD Guardian (since April 2025). A true and correct index of my writing is attached as Exhibit A, and my résumé as Exhibit B.
4. 4.  What I am working on now:(a)  Researching. My History honors thesis on Pittsburgh’s political and economic history in the merger era, 1890–1910.(b)  Writing. Analysis of international political and economic affairs for Prospect Journal, and journalistic writing for The UCSD Guardian.(c)  Studying. History and Business Economics at UC San Diego, with minors in Law and Society and Accounting.(d)  Off the clock. Practicing piano, working on composition works of my own, and cheering for the Cleveland Browns.
